TYLENOL (Acetaminophen)

MOTRIN (Ibuprofen)

  • Give dose based on your child's weight.
  • Do not give Ibuprofen to infants younger than 6 months of age.
  • Never use Aspirin in a child under the age of 18 years.
  • If you are giving your child over-the-counter (OTC) medications, be aware that these may contain Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) as a pain reliever or fever reducer.  To avoid the risk of over dosing, we recommend that you do not use these OTC Multi-symptom cold medications.
  • Always follow package directions.
  • Always use the measuring device that comes with the medication.
